There has been some discussion about the format and future of the Winter Cup.

I have something to say - bring the Winter Cup back to Las Vegas!

• Because it was combined with a big boys’ meet, the finals were always packed.

• It was nice having an event where male gymnasts were center stage.

• The weather in Las Vegas is decent in the winter.

• Las Vegas is a destination. For years it was a family tradition to go to Winter Cup. Multiple family members have asked me when Winter Cup is returning to Las Vegas.

• Las Vegas has multiple all-you-can-eat buffets.

I preferred it when the meet centered around MAG but bring the women too if that’s what it takes (although from what I experienced in Louisville, combining it with the women didn’t boost attendance much for the men).

Whatever USAG decides to do, they should not cut participation because of what broadcast TV wants until there is a guarantee if changes are made the network would actually broadcast the meet in some format that would make it worth the sacrifice.
